About
Vinitha Pu is a graphic designer based in Palakkad, Kerala, who builds free, privacy-friendly browser tools. She designs, builds and maintains the camera, microphone and speaker tests and guides on WebcamTest.
What she does here
- Designer. She designs each tool's interface, live readouts and infographics so a result is easy to read at a glance.
- Builder. She builds each test on the browser's own camera and audio APIs (getUserMedia, MediaRecorder and Web Audio), so results come from the same device access your video-call apps use.
- Content author. She writes the guides and the plain-English explanations on each page.
- Fact checker. Each test is tried on real webcams, phones, microphones and speakers before it goes live, and each page's numbers are checked against the standard they come from.
